Through litigation, law reform, and education, the Center for Reproductive Rights and CLADEM have significantly advanced the cause of women’s reproductive health and freedom in many countries in the face of embedded political, social, and cultural resistance to women’s reproductive rights.
CLADEM
A regional network of organizations and individual activists that promotes, monitors, and defends women’s rights as human rights, CLADEM seeks, through treaties or legislation, to hold governments to the commitments they have made to women’s rights in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Center for Reproductive Rights
Using US constitutional law and international human rights law to bring important cases before the courts, UN committees, and regional human rights bodies, the Center for Reproductive Rights has expanded access to the best reproductive healthcare and information available for women in over 50 countries.
