The Neuroscience Prize Nomination & Selection Criteria


The Neuroscience Prize of the Peter and Patricia Gruber Foundation honors men and women from anywhere in the world who have done the most distinguished work in the field of the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nervous system. The prize consists of a gold medal and US$500,000. Past recipients are:

2005 Dr. Masakazu Konishi and Dr. Eric Knudsen
2004 Dr. Seymour Benzer

Nominations for the Neuroscience Prize are invited annually. Nominations for the 2008 Neuroscience Prize open April 2, 2007 and close December 31, 2007.

Nominations may be submitted by individuals, organizations, and institutions that are active in or have an appreciation for contemporary neuroscience research and study. Self-nominations are not accepted.
