The 2006 Peter Gruber Foundation prizes were presented as follows:

  • Women’s Rights was presented to Union Nacional de Mujeres Guatemaltecas (UNAMG), Sweatshop Watch, and Cecilia Medina Quiroga at Columbia University Law School, New York City in November 2006. Media Release
  • Cosmology was presented to John Mather and the COBE team in Prague in August 2006. Media Release
  • Justice was presented to Aharon Barak, former President of the Supreme Court of Israel in September 2006. Media Release
  • Genetics was presented to Elizabeth Blackburn, Tuesday 10 October, 2006 at the American Society for Human Genetics Annual Meeting in New Orleans. Media Release
  • Neuroscience was presented to Masao Ito and Roger Nicoll on Sunday 15 October at the Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting in Atlanta. Media Release
